Jobs at Happy Days

Happy Days is a family run nursery that has been operating in Hanover for over 30 years. We are not part of any nursery chain or run by a remote head office. Our success has very much depended on having staff who enjoy working with us in Early Years Education. We have a very low turnover of staff and many stay with us several years (or 20+ !) to develop their career as professionals – see our staff on About Us page (click below)

Our setting consists of two large halls with a kitchen/dining area plus a garden. You would be working alongside colleagues who are supportive of each other. The daily schedule is planned to ensure that everyone’s day (staff and children) is interesting, varied and rewarding.

We have a staff kitchen and rest area for you take breaks and chat with your colleagues.

We welcome applications from people of all ages and backgrounds

We provide 28 days holiday a year (pro rata for days per week worked) plus up to 3 additional paid holiday over Christmas are available to those who have attended training and staff meetings.

We are located in Hanover very close to Brighton’s shops, cafes and transport links.

We have flexible working. Either short days or reduced number days worked per week. We run on a 4 working day week so that our employees have time for friends and families.

Training is provided and we have a very experienced team to help with support and mentoring

We place a high value on staff wellbeing and both understand and appreciate that our staff have a life outside of the Nursery.

Our working environment is friendly, supportive, open and inclusive to ensure you enjoy coming to work each day and be a positive role model for the children in your care.

Still not sure? Many of our employees never envisaged working in Early Years Education but have found this to be either a rewarding career or useful stepping stone in their future employment. You are welcome to arrange a visit to Happy Days to have a look around and a have an informal chat with a manager or staff.
